As part of the 2026 Shaking Bog Festival, a special Hedgerows Walk and Talk will take place on Saturday, 23rd August 2026 at 11:00 am in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.
The walk will be led by Neil Foulkes, a leading expert on hedgerows who worked closely with the late Leesha O’Driscoll SC on the Hedgerows Bill. The event will also serve as a moment to quietly remember Leesha and her important contributions to hedgerow conservation. Turlough O’Donnell SC will provide a short tribute to Leesha before the walk begins.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the ecological and cultural significance of Ireland's hedgerows from one of the foremost experts in the field, while also honouring the legacy of a much-valued colleague.
